•18 March 2009 • Leave a Comment

roger & mirkaI was running through channels last night when I pass by Star Sports playing a show about news on the recent tennis updates. That is where I found out that Roger is an expectant father due this summer with his girlfriend Mirka Vavrinec. Meaning during the Aussie Open, she is already pregnant! I was surprised and happy for the both of them. Wow! Wonder is the baby will be also a big tennis star like his father? hehe. Congrats!

Yes, you read it right! There are 13 finalists for AI for season 8 and I have to admit it will be a waste of contestant to eliminate someone off. I mean, this batch is super good, really. Actually, I am quite happy with last year’s batch though I like archie to won but I like cook also so no harm done. And now I was like watching it religiously, 3rd to Survivor and Amazing Race. AI was started being shown here in the Philippines on its 3rd season. I only watched season 3 because a Fil-Am contestant is in it (Trias) but I not a big fan, sorry. On season 4, I only watched because of Constantine but after being booted off, I stopped watching. I didn’t watch seasons 5 & 6. Enough of other seasons. Anyways, It will be tough for the people who’s gonna vote in who they should take out. Of course, I am not included because I am currently living at the other side of the world, though I wanted to vote to the finalists that I like the most from the bunch. Obviously, everybody has their own pick in every batch, as for me my picks were Gokey, Lambert, & Desai. But over-all all the contestants are great.

On High With Seth Rogen

After I had watched him on Knocked Up, it seems that everytime Seth Rogen was shown on TV, I can’t help but laugh my heart out. It’s just that I found him very charming, amusing and witty, maybe to others he’s not, but his antics and short kick-butt lines are right on target with me. In fact I will never get tired of watching Knocked Up several times even in succession.

David Archuleta And David Cook In Manila!

•25 February 2009 • Leave a Comment

If this is true, fans of David Cook and David Archuleta should start saving money for the concert that was supposedly to be held by the 1st week of May 2009 in SM Mall of Asia. Including me! OMG! I think this is the closest thing to heaven for fans like me to see both Davids in person, together, especially Archie! When I was informed of the most likely news, I started darting on the internet typing ‘David Archuleta in Manila’ and can’t stop speaking cursed words (sorry ’bout that). The concert was according to what I found on the net, will be brought by Jomari Yllana. But whoever person who will produce the concert, he/she/they is/are heaven sent. Sorry for the lines, but I can’t contain my excitement and happiness. Can’t wait! Fingers-crossed that this is true!

Rafa And Roger Did It Again, Now On Melbourne

federer nadal finalsRafa and Roger once again made a final battle epic in their on rights. The 2 most incredible tennis players invaded a finals match again and proved that there are no other players better than the 2. The match was a bittersweet one for me though, having my rooted player (Rafa Nadal) win his first grandslam on Melbourne but seeing Roger cry, it is definitely heartbreaking. It shows his love for all his supporters and for the game itself. I am never against Roger, in fact I consider him the greatest player tennis has. Kudos to the 2 gentlemen who fought hard at the court and demonstrated what tennis is all about and a big congratulation to Rafa! Hoping to see yet another masterpiece like this. Impressive Nadal-Verdasco Semis

nadal verdasco semisEvery positive adjective will describe the epic battle between Nadal and Verdasco that lasted a record-breaking 5 hours and 14 minutes. It was so breath-taking that every shot was a definite masterpiece from both players. I was really rooting for Rafa that it made me so nervous for the first time that I have been watching on tv, that he might lose to his compatriot. After the grueling match-up, I will admit that I became a new fan of Fernando. Kudos to him! Rafa indeed met his match and tasted his own dose if medicine. hehe. The just finished semis was no 2 on my greatest tennis battles I had watched so far, next to the Wimby finals for men last year that coincedentally has Rafa in it too. I applaud the 2 players and certainly gains everyone’s respect. And now, the match I am looking forward to – Roger Federer and Rafa Nadal on the finals. Fingers-crossed that it will be like the battle at Wimbledon. Vamos! Photos courtesy of Australian Open site.

Taylor Lautner And His New Buff Body

Who would have thought that he was almost removed from the cast! I saw one of his latest pictures in his new bod and really, Taylor is sooooooo hot in his new body! New Moon would definitely regret if they let go of this boy. It clearly shows that he wants this character so much that he would do anything for the part. I think it is not desperation but dedication! Woot woot! I re-read the Eclipse and damn! I am still in for Jacob Black. Sorry Edward. Team Jacob all the way! grrrr!
